Week 4!
July 22, 2020
Përshëndetje!!
My week has been pretty typical, starting to get into the groove of things!! The hours go by slowly, but every night I feel like the day flew by.
BIG NEWS! I've been temporarily reassigned to the Knoxville, Tennessee mission!! Apparently it is the birthplace of Mountain Dew, and is the "cradle of country music". I CANNOT WAIT. I leave Sept 8! I have been anticipating a reassignment for months now, so finally getting mine was really exciting! I am seriously stoked about going to the south!!! By the time I get there, I will have hit 12 weeks as a missionary. Kind of crazy!
It's been harder to stay on the Albanian grind since my reassignment, since I highly doubt I'll be speaking much Shqip in Tennessee hahaha. But I do know that no matter how much time I actually spend in Albania, I'm supposed to be learning Albanian and that there is a reason for it!
On Saturday I'm halfway through with the MTC! It's been really good. There are definitely pro's and con's doing it at home, but to anyone nervous and starting in the next few months... YOU WILL BE OK. Everything about the online MTC is well thought out and designed through inspiration!! :)
Cool thought this week is in Ether 6. This chapter is about the journey the people of Jared took to the promised land.
Ether 6:7:
... Therefore when they were encompassed about by many waters they did cry unto the Lord, and he did bring them forth upon the top of the waters.
Ether 6:3:
And thus the Lord caused stones to shine in darkness, to give light unto men, women, and children, that they might not cross the great waters in darkness.
Sometimes it can feel like we are at the bottom of a stormy sea. Even a few times in the MTC I've felt like I am being buried in stormy water. I know that when we cry unto the Lord in faith, He will bring us up out of the depths. Christ's light can reach us even at our darkest depths when we reach out in faith. Not only will he lift us up, but He has given us "stones to shine in the darkness" (just like the Jaredites). Some "stones of light" include the Atonement, family and friends, and the gift of the Holy Ghost. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will not let us drown!
Love and miss you all!<3
Motra Munns
I wish this was all the Diet Coke this week...sadly there were a few more!
