Elevators and Real Quarantine!

December 14, 2020

Howdy Everyone,

We spent the first bit of this week in quarantine, but have been out since Wednesday!!  We just found out a few minutes ago that the whole mission is now in quarantine! Woot woot haha!

Earlier this week, on one of our evening quarantine walks, we found ourselves smack dab in a protest.  Cops shot a man who broke Covid curfew and everyone is upset about it, among other things.  Crazy stuff happening over here!  The next day our mission pres set a curfew for all the missionaries, so now we are all in by 6.  No more protesting for us;)

We have been handed SO many projects in the past week.  Pretty funny I am a tech specialist because I cannot even work this stinking samsung hahaha.  Learning a lot over here.  But we have had to text almost every single missionary in the mission about assignments for a virtual fireside or about the facebook page in the last week.  Most people we have texted at least 3 times.  Who am I becoming!!!  However it is nice to feel really busy and a little overwhelmed for a change.

Funny things:

I was dancing in the elevator with my back to the door showing Sister Bezzant how I could make the elevator shake.  The doors opened to let more people into the elevator and I did not realize for wayyy too long.  They didn't get in hahaha.

Quote describing Albania from this week:
"It's like Greece and Italy had a child, but it was raised by India."
-Sister Bezzant

Honestly, the idea of a indefinite quarantine terrifies me. But one thing that the spirit keeps circling me back to is peace! When I saw the Facebook update I freaked out!! I sat down at my desk and flipped open my scriptures (after calling my mom, laying upside down on the couch, drinking my third diet coke, and crying). I didn't have a lightning revelation moment, but I did feel peace.  Instantly!  I don't know what I would do without the scriptures as guidance in my life.  Even when I feel like my life is going 100 mph and I can't even fully focus on what I am reading, I do feel peace.  Always!  God really loves us to give us unlimited access to peace. Especially in a year like 2020.

Alma 26:27
"Now when were hearts are depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go.."
The verse says more, but my favorite part is the "Go" part. The Lord will always comfort us, but it's our job to GO and get moving.

Ju dua shumë
Zoti ju bekoftë
Natën e mirë
Lutuni për mua sepse kam frike teehee
