Quarantine has been really good; staying obedient even in hard situations brings SHUMË blessings. We have literally seen miracles this week. I feel so close to Heavenly Father, even though I sometimes feel very far from my family and loved ones!
I am reading in 3 Nephi right now and I am always touched by when the Nephites hear His voice for the first time.
3 Nephi 11:3:
"They heard a voice as if it came out of heaven... and not withstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake; yea, it did burn them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn."
This is so powerful because we truly feel closest to heaven when we try to listen to the quiet voice of the spirit, and when we look for the small miracles from heaven. One of my cousins challenged me a few weeks ago to write down when I see the hand of God in my life, and it is making me SO happy. I am trying harder to look for the small blessings and to hear the small voice. The very voice of the Lord was small, yet it peirced every soul! Look for the small things with me this christmas week, and let me know how it goes!
Funny story this week:
We have been cranking out calling the ward lists here, and it has been pretty funny. I was supposedly calling an older lady.. a dude picked up the phone. I asked "Is this Blerta?" (Don't really know why I asked.. it was clearly not Blerta haha) And he said "Si". The Albanian equivalent for "Huh?". But my highschool spanish kicked in and I understood it as "Yes", so i continued with our message. He hung up mid message haha.
I LOVE my mission. One of my friends wrote in her email a few weeks ago something similar, and I would like to add my testimony to hers! If you are considering a mission, do it! You will not regret it, even with Covid. And if you aren't considering it, you should!! Missions are magical.
I love you all, Merry Christmas!
Ju dua shume, gezuar krishtlindjet!
