Outta Here!!
November 16, 2020
Hello people!!!
Transfers! I am headed out of my cute mountain town Berat and to ... TIRANA (Capital of Albania)! I will be comps with Sister Bezzant and I am so stoked.
I have loved Berat and the members here. SUCH FUNNY PEOPLE. I will also miss my companion, sister Cermeli. She is a hoot. I am really sad to be leaving Dona! She accepted her bap date this week and will be baptized mid-December. I am so stoked for her; she is so ready!
Sister Johnson and I had an exchange in Korçe this week and it was #lit. We gave a lesson all by ourselves in Albanian and it went REALLY WELL #miracle. Korçe feels like real Europe, Sis Johnson, you are living the high life.
I found imported DIET COKE this week!! It was like an early birthday present from Heavenly Father. Looks like He celebrates birthday month as well ;). I literally bought 20 cans, my MSF took a blow to say the least.
Albanian old people are actually crazy. It is the best thing ever. At a member's birthday party this week, the grandma went a poco loco. After teaching the elders how to shimmie, she grabbed a handful of cake, pinned my companion to the couch and rubbed the cake all over her face and hair. I could not control my laughter, it was so out of the blue.
We got locked out of our apartment this week and the spare key didn't work. Our landlady called some 50 yr. old dude who brought a ladder and climbed up onto our porch and got into the apartment. I will include a picture below, it was hysterical.
The word "convert" translates as "i kthyer në besim" in Albanian. "I kthyer" means turn and "në besim" means in faith. I love this! I have been thinking recently about how important it is that we take blind steps in faith. In a testimony meeting this week, a missionary said, "Conversion takes a lifetime." This week, try to convert yourself a little more to Christ. Take a blind step in faith!
I love you all dearly

The route the 50 yr old man took to get into our apartment and unlock it for us bahaha.
