Spiritual Abundance
Hi my people!
This week was a spiritual one. Sister Maxfield, a senior sister who has served two missions in Albania, passed away this week from covid. It was super shocking and the week was heavy, but the Lord sent us so many miracles and the Spirit was close this week. I know that all the miracles and "spiritual hugs" this week have to do with Sister Maxfield. She was seriously the most incredible missionary and is so loving. So of course the Lord would bless us with the most miraculous week of missionary work, because one of His most miraculous missionaries returned home. Please pray for Elder Maxfield who is still sick!
Some of the miracles:
The first was on Tuesday morning. It was really sad for us when nobody showed up to watch conference, especially when it was such a needed spiritual boost in such crazy times!! The Lord heard our prayers and felt our sadness beCAUSE on Tuesday morning we went and met with a new friend and her very less active boyfriend and they were so excited to watch conference they started watching it during the lesson!! If we hadnt interrupted them, I dont know how long they would have gone haha. Hope=restored.
This transfer was cut a week short so we had 2 exchanges this week!! I was able to be back with my adorable trainer for a few hours and teach a lesson with her!! Throw back. Later this week I was with a sister who (unbeknownst to us when we planned exchanges) had a zoom doctors appointment that night that would determine whether or not she could stay on her mission because of a pretty serious previous sickness that was coming back. It was such a tender mercy to be with her that night!! I felt like I was able to understand and empathize and (hopefully) comfort her, because I was her a year and a half ago, looking over lab results with doctors determining if I could even go on a mission!! It was honestly emotional sitting and praying for her in the other room while she was in her appointment because to some extent I felt her pain and fears. The Lord works in very mysterious ways and this night was such a confirmation to me that there are no coincidences!!
So many other miracles this week with the returning members and friends we are teaching. The Lord comforted us this week and kept us busy and we are so grateful for it. He also sent us beautiful rainy weather!!
Sister Green will be leaving to Kosovo this week, stud. She has been just what I needed this transfer! And she is a hoot. She is almost a foot shorter than me, loves hard metal music, is in to anime, and a good friend. My new comp is one of my favorite people and I am giddy to work with her!!! President is hooking it up:) This week starts my last full transfer. President is awesome and is letting us stay as late as possible before Christmas so I go home 2 weeks into the next transfer. I'm emo about it.
In a face 2 face with the Bednars this week (go watch it) they said: We dont know the reasons and we dont have the answers, but we trust Him. I love this! I have so many questions and I have no idea if they will all be answered in this life. But I do know that one day they will!! Holding on to that hope with faith overcomes any doubt.
Long email sorry, but it makes my mama happy:)
Love you all/ sis munns
