Camels!
September 6 2021
Yaaaasas !!
This week was an emotional grind. Lots of highs and a few lows.
We had zone conference! The Burdons and the Aps came and W O W was it good to see friendly faces!! There are only 8 missionaries in Cyprus so it was a really small zone conference. We were not feeling very prepared for our training, but the Spirit really helped us and I was so grateful!!
Interviews with President were great, we had a lot of good laughs. It was so nice to be hugged by the Burdons.
Our friend Victus probably wont be baptized for a while because my comp and I feel like he isnt ready and we also think he is a dealer:( It's so sad how some people here are so desperate for work that they feel obligated to turn to illegal things. But he is awesome and cracks us up. I was kinda dancing to a song in the cafe we met in and he was shocked and said "Sister, what would the prophet say?" Love him.
We got permission to ride CAMELS. It was honestly the funniest thing ever. 6 minutes of therapy from all the laughing.
I randomly got a phone call from my some of my favorite people I met in my training transfer!!! Oh my it was heaven sent. They were making sure I hadnt forgotten my promise to bring my husband to Albania so they could approve of him. Precious.
Miracle moment= I was trying to boil some water for pasta on our ancient stove and it was not working at all. It had been on for probably 30 minutes. I was about to lose it, I prayed so so fervently for this water to boil. I looked up, still not boiling. I closed my eyes shut again real quick and kept praying, this time with tears about to come streaming hahaha. I looked up for the second time, maybe a minute later, and it was boiling!!! It felt like the most obvious answer to prayer I have ever had. An amazing part about my transfer here in Cyprus has been that I am (finally) so much more reliant on God and on Christ. I love my Savior and Heavenly Father.
Also, pretty funny that my miracle moments are often related to food. God really knows my love language. And I promise He knows yours too.
"For the Lord God giveth light unto the understanding, for He speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding" 2 Nephi 31:3
All jokes aside, God really does speak to His children in ways they understand. Think about ways you communicate and feel love in your daily lifes, with the people around you, and then look for that from God. I promise it's there.
I LOVE YOU ALL
Keep on keeping on
