Dancing in the Rain---Literally!
October 14, 2020
Hello dear people,
It has been such a good two weeks!! We are starting to see our efforts in Berat pay off, sloowly but surely. Esmeralda is plugging along towards her bap date in two weeks! We have met a few new people and have been working hard to find more.
General conference was AMAZING and if you haven't watched it yet I would hiiighly recommend it. I love President Nelson so much. How lucky we are to be guided by such a loving and lively prophet!
Funny things:
As I was parallel parking one night an old man was walking by and grinning at us SO BIG. We got out of the car and he said, "Bravo, better than a man!!" in very enthusiastic Albanian. Love it.
At a lesson the lady closed her prayer with, "In the name of Jesus Christ- THE BOOK OF MORMON IS TRUE -amen."
Climbing today in some caves we were slipping all over in some slimy mud and quickly realized that it was bat poop and not mud. And it was also allll over us.
A few people have told me that I look Albanian, and some lady at the store was speaking really fast and I only caught a few words. I was sure she had said that i look Albanian, I smiled excitedly and said "Wowww thank you so much!" Got some really weird looks and found out later she had said that I DON'T look Albanian. Awkward.
In my language grind I learned an awesome new phrase: Po më shpëton. It means I am literally about to pee my pants. Hahaha enjoy.
My favorite scriptures and source of motivation these days are Psalm 118:23-24
23: This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
24: This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
How comforting to know that we are in the Lord's hands, and he is acutely aware of us every single day!! And every single day is a blessing from Him, rejoice and soak it in!
I love you all!!
