Going on Another Mission!?!
October 19, 2020
Hi lovely people,
This week was long yet short, amazing yet a struggle, busy and not busy, wild and normal, all at the same time!!
We had an investigator we were STOKED about teaching turn crazy on us haha. She started speaking in French and Italian then told our futures. I was DYING. She told me that before I start school again I will go on another mission!! Yay? But we have nobody else so we will still be teaching Marjana; can't wait for my future this week.
Esmeralda gets baptized this Saturday!! We are so excited. It has been so cool seeing her progress. We taught her her first lesson on our first day in Berat! She is so awesome and this branch needs more members like her.
While we were cleaning the church on Saturday with the elders, i accidentally brushed one of the guy member's shoes with the broom. He told me that when your shoe is touched with a broom it means that you will only have daughters. I said "Oh so it's good luck?;)" and swept all of the dudes' feet there. I left them with a "You're welcome."
This week I reeeally put effort into Facebook contacting and did everything that we have been directed to do with our facebook profiles, including changing my Facebook profile picture to an incredibly close up picture of myself. Close up is definitely not my favorite angle haha. But I did it and did all the other tips we have been given in hopes of seeing some success. Turns out a reporter for a Albanian newspaper saw one of my posts to a group, reached out, and wants to interview me about why I love Albania and why I am here!! I have really struggled with the idea of having to use Facebook and other social media platforms to do missionary work, so this was such an answer to prayers. The Lord loves effort!!
I have felt the Lord's love and awareness so much this week. We live 4 hours away from the other sisters in our zone but somehow we have seen them EVERY WEEK. AND one of them is Sis. Johnson, my favorite person ever. The p-day therapy sessions are lifesaving. I also got a FOUNTAIN DRINK today. I am living in a land with no Diet Coke, so drinking a fountain Pepsi today was a miracle.
From a Brad Wilcox devo. this week:
Jesus isn't waiting for you to get your act together to reach out to Him, He IS the way to get your act together.
Take it from a girl farrr from having her act together, Jesus Christ is always reaching out for us, in every hard moment and in every amazing moment!! Reach out to Christ this week, in your highs and in your lows.
I love you ALL and I pray for you!! Shoot me an email if there is anything I can do for you.
