Përshëndetje everyone!
First week down! I am loving the MTC. The past 7 days have flown by. It's definitely been an adjustment adhering to missionary rules all of a sudden, but it's all been really fun. Being at home definitely has its perks!!
My schedule!! Wake up at 6:30 (haha anyone who knows me knows that I'm possibly the world's worst morning person), comp study at 7:30, class from 9-12, lots of studying and a little bit of relaxin' till 5, class 5-8, and bed at 10:30. Waking up and going to bed on time is probably my biggest challenge yet hahaha, but we're getting there.
My district is awesome annnd... we are all going to the Adriatic South! We spend a lot of time together on zoom and we are actually starting to get to know each other a lot better than I thought we would!! We are from all over the place, Utah, Arizona, South Carolina, Philippines, and Germany! Super cool people.
My comp is super awesome. She's from South Carolina and is a sweetheart. We end up chatting for most of companion study on some days. We had a pretty good laugh this week because she shared her funniest date story with me, and at the end I realized it was one of my friends hahaha! She's killing it at Albanian! We are actually in a trio with Motra Gaviola from the Philippines, but we hardly get to see her because of the time zones.
Albanian. It's quite a difficult language haha. I like the way it sounds though, and I'm picking up a little more every day! On the first day it was like getting hit by a train. SO MUCH Albanian in class!! But it's proven to be very helpful because I can now understand a lot more of what they're saying in class! My teachers are super cool, and
they're good at what they do.
they're good at what they do.
I studied a lot in Alma this week. Some highlights were in chapter 26: "We have been made instruments in the hands of God to bring about this great work," (verse 3) and "I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things," (verse 12). I'm so grateful for the epic examples of missionaries in the scriptures. I know without a doubt that through faith, hard work, and quite a bit of God's help, I'll be able to figure out this language and become an instrument in His hands!
I'm honestly stoked to be a missionary right now. There is a lot of unknown, but I do know that this is right where I'm supposed to be.
Pafshim! (bye)
Motra Munns
Pulling a district "prank" and setting our backgrounds to pictures of Vellai Ward (Brother Ward- one of our teachers)
Going to one of my high school bestie's bridal showers (perks of being home!!)
Helping my mom put the chickens back in the coop (I heard her causing a ruckus outside and laughed so hard)
Can you find my language? Lol
